 Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub - American comedian, actress and activist She was born in the Soviet Union to Jewish parents and began her career as an actor as a child shortly after moving to the United States. She gained notoriety for her appearances in AT&T commercials on television as salesperson Lily Adams from 2013 to 2016, and then from in 2020. Apart from commercial appearances, she also appeared as a regular on the Yahoo! Screen science fiction comedy Other Space (2015). She also had the role of a regular character on the NBC drama This Is Us (2016)-2017. After being cast in the TV pilot that was never aired for New Warriors, Vayntrub also is the voice of Squirrel Girl on Marvel Rising. Vayntrub is a Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic (USSR) native and an American Jew. Her parents, who were both at the age of two, came to America to escape antisemitism. They settled in West Hollywood. Due to her family's financial problems the actress began appearing in Mattel Barbie commercials as a five-year-old. Vayntrub briefly attended Beverly Hills High School, however, she quit in her sophomore year. She earned an GED and then went to pursue the Bachelor of Arts in Communication from the University of California, San Diego. She studied improv with the Upright Citizens Brigade.
