Anna Paquin
Anna Paquin, a Canadian-New Zealander actor. Paquin is a native of Winnipeg, raised in Wellington and made her stage debut as Flora McGrath when she played her role of Flora McGrath in The Piano. She won an Academy Award at the age of 11 for Best Supporting Actress. Anna Paquin's full name is Anna Helene Paquin. Born on the 24th of July, 1982 on the 24th of July 1982 in Winnipeg Manitoba Canada, she was an Canadian birthed New Zealand actress. As an infant, she won her the Academy Award for best support actress. The role she played as the talkative and inquisitive girl of Holly Hunter played in The Piano (1993) brought her the honor. When she responded to a request for open auditions when she was nine, and with little prior experience acting the actress was chosen for Flora McGrath's part. Flora is the daughter of a Scottish pianist, who was deaf. They were relocated from Scotland to New Zealand during the middle of the nineteenth century in an effort to arrange a marriage. When she moved into America, she was a teenager. United States, she became an adult. Paquin began her career as a child with a part as the Jane Eyre title character in the Franco Zeffirelli novel Jane Eyre followed by she played a significant role in Fly Away Home. Paquin appeared as Frankie Addams in a 1997 television movie adaptation of the novel by Carson McCullers The Member of the Wedding and had a minor role as Queen of Spain in Steven Spielberg's Amistad (1997). She portrayed teenagers on Hurlyburly (1998), She's All That (2000), A Walk on the Moon (2000). In addition, she played the role of a teen girl named Polexia Aphrodisa in Almost Famous (2000).
