Winona-Ryder

Winona Ryder is the professionally-known name given to Winona Laura Hoowitz who was born in Winona Minnesota. The name was given to her by her parents after the town where she was raised in. Both her father Michel Horowitz, and mother Cynthia Palmer are authors and editors. Ryder's father was from the Jewish family Ryder believes she is Jewish. She has a younger brother Uria and two half-siblings Jubal and Sunyata. Ryder moved together with her family to Mendocino County California at the age of seven. In Mendocino County, they did not have electricity. Television books were Ryder's only distraction for her time, and she was a voracious reader. Ryder began taking classes in acting at American Conservatory Theatre when she was 12 years old. Lucas the film, which was released in 1986, was her first major role. Ryder was only 15 when she got it. Ryder was bullied throughout high school. Ryder hoped her career as an actor would be able to bring about change. Unfortunately, it didn't happen. But she continued to pursue her dream. Her breakthrough came through Tim Burton's Beetlejuice in 1988. Ryder played successful roles for numerous films. In 1993, Ryder was nominated two times for the Academy Awards.
